Are You Really Mobile?
Tone & Timber's owner,
Melissa Jenkins
First of all, if you’re reading this, thank you for caring enough to see who is going to be taking care of your instrument. I’m Melissa, but most people know me as Moe. Now for the fun stuff.
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. If you asked my mother, she'd say I was making music before I could talk. My family has deep roots in the music industry, and growing up around musicians taught me early on that music is more than entertainment. It creates memories, brings people together, and has a way of saying things that words can't.
Along the way, I became just as fascinated with the instruments themselves. The idea that a few pieces of wood, wire, and metal could create something powerful enough to move people never stopped amazing me.
My parents recognized that passion and enrolled in violin and piano lessons at a young age. Once I surpassed my teachers, I picked up the cello, and before long I was performing with regional symphonies as a high school student. I spent every spare moment learning everything I could about music and the instruments that make it possible.
That passion eventually led me to the technical side of the industry. I spent more than a decade working as a technician and engineer in and around some of the country's most influential music cities, including Atlanta, Nashville, and Chattanooga. I completed training and certification programs through Fender and Taylor, worked as a regional technician for a major music company, and gained experience in environments where precision, reliability, and craftsmanship mattered every single day.
When I moved to Arkansas, I noticed something. In bigger music cities, finding a reputable shop was easy. Here, musicians, churches, schools, and studios had fewer options, longer drives, and a damn hard time finding someone they could trust with their instruments.
That's why I started Tone & Timber.
My goal is simple: provide each instrument with the best care at an unbeatable price, to keep instruments in the hands of anyone willing to learn, and to spread the love of music as far as I possibly can. Whether its a first guitar, a family heirloom, or a road-worn workhorse that's seen a thousand stages, every instrument deserves to play its best.
So if you made it this far, thank you. Thank you for visiting my website. Thank you for considering my business, and I hope we meet soon.
